Well, it’s 1.30 in the morning and I’m writing this just because I’ve successfully failed to keep myself engaged in my reads. And I’m just writing this in Word, not knowing if I’m ever gonna post this as an entry. Cos ya, I’ve got no connection at home. Again, for whatever kind of reason there is. So well, I’ve been trying to read up at least an article or two in the financial magazine that I bought last week. It by far, has been my utmost effort of at least trying to understand just what the hell is going on around us. The slowdown, the downturn, the collapses, the sub-primes, the mortgages, the bail-outs, the recession, the overconfidence turned conservativeness turned complete distrust, and what have you. And yes, I haven’t even finished an article. It just seems impossible to have done something quite serious in this kinda festive mood of mine.
I’m just keeping myself awake somehow. I’m waiting on pop’s computer downstairs to finish installing some Microsoft Office stuffs. And by god it’s been 2 hours now and it’s not finishing any sooner. I’ve had my supper, have watched Miss World on TV, have brushed my teeth and have read what looks like a one-third of an article in between, and yet, it’s just not finishing, is it?
Well, I don’t feel like sleeping anyway. More like listening to some corny cliché songs that I like so much it hurts with occasional sing-along and some typing activities. Sometimes the sing-along might get a little too overdramatic and disturbing, I guess. I just hope I don’t wake my maids up. =P
Anyway, I’m installing the Ms Office 2007 for pop. Hope he won’t have hard times getting familiar with the thing. Well, we all know that office ’07 and vista are more or less of a failure, with the euphemism not user-friendly, of course. =P
Strangely, I’m listening to a Cantonese song. It’s a little techno some more. But it’s not bad. It’s very groovy the way I like it.
Here’s a thought: Cantonese (the language) sounds sexy.
I attended a reunion party today. Just a thing I had with my old schoolmates over a buffet bar complete with appetizers, entrées and desserts at a friend-owned café. I prefer to call it high tea, cos it’s around 4 plus. Although by the end of 6, it feels like having a lunch and a dinner wrapped up into one. I didn’t have my dinner no more. And the reunion? Well, it was good, it’s alright. It just felt fun meeting friends and mingling and munching and laughing and talking, or was it babbling? Well, whatever it was, we should have more of it. =)
I just went down and checked on the computer. It’s finished. And I’m half asleep. Gonna get the other half now. So ciao, peeps.
