strange birds

Well, aside from any goddamn school related wishes or desires, my currently biggest must-have would be this fifth album of david usher, strange birds. I've been searching all over here, but not even a store sells his album. son of a mother!! and neither those stores in singapore.. I asked Ten for a favor there but found nothing. From what I’ve observed(what a word..hehe =P), david usher is rather popular in America, mostly in Canada, and people here in Asia hardly know him. His only single that had been played in local radios here was black black heart while I was still 13, where people still consider backstreet boys and westlife real cool and where my president was absolutely not SBY, which explain how truly ancient it was, taken from his second album Morning Orbit(2001). And MTV or ChannelV never plays his singles, neither places them in any charts.*sob* What a shame.. he’s good I tell you. I can’t tell how many times I’ve reviewed him in my previous entries and how fed up you’ve been for reading how much I like him, but the hell, I’m sooo going to write again next time. Haha.. =P

Maybe, some people find his music weird. Well, not Bjork’s weird weird, but weird. But I can tell they’re honest music with simple lyrics and so ‘everyday life’. I mean, they’re telling abt everything that’s going on around us, abt anything that is supposed to happen instead of inserting cliché words like weepy “I can’t live without you” and I believe you won’t find any “love of my life” slipped in. ew..So yea, the songs are tangible and articulate considering the real problems and themes brought up like Love will save the day and I’m coming down.

Anyway, I surfed through his official website lately http://www.davidusher.com/ and found cool stuffs there. Clicking on the STORE, I found these cool black and red T-shirts printed with the words “walk don’t run” or “hey kids what are you rocking for” which were quoted from his songs The Wolves and Hey Kids. Ehem.. I think I’ll buy myself those two T-shirts along with his album Strange Birds online. Yep, I’ll buy them online cos I’ve desperately searched for them and particularly can’t wait any longer so yea I’ll pretty much do whatever it takes. Haha..

Just wait the time where you see me holding those T-shirts and album high oh-so-proudly. =P
