babibubebo

I’m kinda planning to write something nice today, no hard feelings, no hassles, no complaints. I just read thru my previous blog (here’s the link) --> same in any language. It was my friendster blog, and the point is that I sounded more alive there. Maybe I was younger back then (sok dewasa), cos I was still in the high school spirit. High school is the best de!

Cant deny it I’m feeling top of the world right now. Dunno why, tho I have my daily ritual just like any other day. Going to work, papers checking, papers checking, off from work, have lunch, stay tuned on the TV and bla bla bla.. well, I just re-read kambingjantan again. Borrowed from shella yesterday. The last time I read it was three years ago, and it’s refreshingly funny! Haven’t finished it tho.

You know what.. I’ve been weighing all the goods and bads that have been going on in my life lately. Good to know that the goods outnumber the bads. If it’s a competition between the goods and the bads, it’s certainly not a close one. Phew..

So here goes the goods..
1. I like it when I wake up early on a Sunday and realize for the first time that I don’t have the rush or whatsoever…. simply. cos. it. is. a. holiday.
2. I like it when I’m driving-slow down the road alone in the afternoon, especially when it’s windy and drizzling down from the gloomy sky.
3. I like it when the radio plays my favorite song out of the blue.
4. I like it when I wake up from my nap in the afternoon just to go down to find a glass of juice, a bowl of grapes, or a plateful of crispy banana on the dining table and my mom telling me to eat them up. =P
5. I like it when I’m home for good, from whatever it is out there that’s tiring and insane just to have my mom opening the front door and smiling at me. It feels just like a big hug.
6. I like it when I’m down to the very core and have my friends beside me just to hear ‘it’s okay’ from. It feels just like a sedative.
7. I like it when I watch A Lot Like Love or Elizabethtown for the zillionth time in a Saturday afternoon.
8. I like it when I’m writing while listening to my playlist just like I am now.
9. I like doing nothing but playing my age-old cassettes on my age-old boombox and sing along.
10. I like being in my favorite CD store for hours, checking out my fav CDs even when I’m alone.
11. I like it when I’m feeling most creative.
12. I like looking at the scenes, smelling a certain wafts, and being in the places that I’ve been, looked and smelled along with my loved ones.
13. I like cooking and having supper with my bro and sis late at night.
14. I like sitting on my red couch while eating nasi padang in front of the TV.
15. I like it when someone asks for my opinion at work, and really appreciate it. Not to mention when they use mine.
16. I like the turn of events. Like I do this now, but not knowing what imminent things await ahead.
17. I like the twist of fate. Like I don’t know you now, but maybe I will someday.
18. I like knowing someone for a long time. It’s nice just to know that they’re always there.
19. I also like knowing someone new. I become more alive, creative and carefree.
20. and I laugh more than I cry.

Anyway, I watched Ayat-ayat Cinta yesterday. My first impression was, “wow, this is one hell of a really, really religious film”. And it is. But in a good way. It’s a very good Indonesian movie, and I might add that it is the best so far. Well, just out of the ones that I’ve watched, of course. It’s touching in a very remarkable kind of way, and has a real strong message. So, I watched it with shella yesterday at 21, and she cried a river! Muahahaha..

Other than that, things are finally looking up now that it’s getting closer to mid march. I feel like I’ve regained a new direction and it feels good. Mom has even taken the suitcases out from the cabinet yesterday, and when she asked me whether or not they are big enough, that’s when it struck me that I’m really going real soon. Not to mention when pop gives me his rhetorical statement every day that is so not helping the farewell, which sounds: how many days left? Minus one day by today! Yea right.. like I need that kind of question prior to my leaving. Grandma’s been mentioning how lonely it’ll be when I leave, and I’m sorry I wont be able to have dinner with her at jam 7teng! just like we usually do anymore. And shella’s been acting kinda funny lately, like when she texted me today saying..

Shel : Di, tgl 7 kan libur tuh. Mau kluar jj g?
Me : mau2.. mo kmn? Lo takut g ktemu gw lg y mentang2 gw uda mo pg smpe book gw beforehand gt? Huahahaha… so sweeett..
Shel : Hueeek.. kt nntn lg lo, abis tuh jj ato cr tpt bla bla bla… (off the record. Hehe =p)
Me: oh ok. bole tu. Hehe.. skali lg, so sweeett.. hahaha
Shel: taik ah..

Well anyhow, can’t wait to be there. Although farewell will be hard. By the by.. what’s with the weather today? It’s been raining from 10am till 7pm now, and it’s freezing cold in here. Fight global warming! (bleh!?)

*poof*
